Oh admit it, you find it’s 90s color choices, tiny little three cylinder engine, infinitesimal kerb weight, and body roll adorable. It’s probably the most honest car on sale right now in the sense that it’s exactly what it is. No posing, no pretending to be upscale, no image. It’s just a tiny, cheap, happy little car. Me? I’ll take mine in the DE trim with a five speed in Plasma Purple with no options. $13805 including delivery. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Just like that. If you’re going to get a tiny little shitbox, you might as well go as cheap as humanly possible. Besides there’s a decent amount of standard equipment including power windows and automatic climate control.

So my work computer doesn’t allow me to post pictures but I spec’d mine as a ES at $15,330 in Kiwi Green with the LED illumination package (because fuck it, why not?). Why do I want this shitbox?

I shall call him Kermit. I feel like a car like this needs to be both an unconventional colour shade and the cheapest option package available. So mine is the DE with 5 speed and bluetooth option for a grand total of $14,015. If you need the parking assist package on a car the size of a shoebox, you shouldn’t be driving.

I’ll take a Kermit too. That shade of purple will have people questioning my sexuality as much as any color Miata, but that green works. I’d also add Bluetooth since more and more places near me are banning any device you can touch while driving.

I considered the ES, but figure in the real world, I’d slap some used alloys on anyway, a good leather steering wheel wrap and shift knob are cheap, and if I skip the fog lights that’s one less thing that can break when (not if) I rallycross the fuck out of this thing.
